Pre-concert entertainment begins on the Main Stage with Station Street Jazz Ensemble performing until 6:00PM.
- Some of Kansas City’s finest jazz musicians present “Goin’ to Kansas City – A Jazz Tribute.” The program honors icons of Kansas City jazz history, including Count Basie, Jay McShann, Charlie Parker and Claude “Fiddler” Williams. Other jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea and Stephane Grappelli will also receive “nods of the hat.”
